Everyone loves Disney. Disney sells. I was at Disney Land last week and had a great time! But almost everything they sell at Disney is full price and fairly pricey! So how does one find good prices for Disney clothing and toys?

One of my favorite places to look for Disney items to resell is my local Goodwill clearance store. I have found Disney Monopoly, Disney hats, Disney toys, as well as lots of Disney clothing there. Any good thrift store is a great place to look.

They recently opened a Disney oulet store near my house. I stopped in a few days ago and was surprised to find a few items of clothing that were around 5.00 each. The original prices were up to 50.00 each!

Dr. Seuss green eggs and ham

Dr. Seuss green eggs and ham

What is you favorite Dr. Seuss book? Almost everybody has a favorite! The most popular ones are the ones that people look for on eBay. These include: Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, 1 Fish 2 Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  First editions are great! Green Eggs and Ham was first published in 1960 and was the fourth best selling English language children’s book of all time. (The Poky Little Puppy from Golden Books being the first).

Dr. Seuss And to think that I saw it on Mulberry street

Dr. Seuss And to think that I saw it on Mulberry street

Dr. Seuss’s first book was And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street, published in 1937.  An original in the black and white version recently sold on eBay for 495.00. The one shown above is the most common — the book club version. These are not first editions even though the copyright might be 1937, but the reprint date on this one is 1964. The most recent date is the actual publication date. Mulberry Street was a real street near the author’s house.

Dr. Seuss Theo LeSieg

Dr. Seuss Theo LeSieg

Dr. Seuss’s real name was Theodor Geisel and he also wrote books under the name of  Theo LeSieg (Geisel spelled backwards!). Most of these books were illustrated by others rather than himself. They are also collectible and if you sell Dr. Seuss books in lots (which I recommend) you can add these to the lot.

beginner book - NOT Dr. Seuss

beginner book - NOT Dr. Seuss

Don’t be fooled by the look-a-likes. The “beginner books” and some of the book club edition use the Cat in the Hat logo on the top right corner of the cover. Some of these books are Dr. Seuss or Theo LeSieg but many are by other authors such as this one. They are still collectible and fun books though in a similar style.
